HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — For the Memorial Day weekend, Ocean Boulevard has become a one-way route for motorists traveling southbound from 29th Avenue North to 29th Avenue South – but some people visiting Myrtle Beach aren’t fans of this particular traffic route.
Donyetta Council is visiting Myrtle Beach from Alabama and said this modified traffic route has caused major delays in her Memorial Day weekend schedule.
“It just made getting around a lot more time consuming. It was really ridiculous. I asked the police officer why was everything blocked off and he said they were like for bike week, and I was like had I known I probably wouldn’t have come this week,” Council said.
